Brooks has 13 years of marketing experience - 8 of which have been spent in the influencer marketing space. After graduating from UT Austin, Brooks started her career as an account manager at 72andSunny in LA. While she was there, 72 experience explosive growth; winning huge accounts, opening new offices, getting acquired and being recognized as Agency of the Year in both AdWeek and Adage. It was a wild ride. After 72andSunny, Brooks moved north to San Francisco where she was employee #10 at a startup agency called barrettSF (now Barrett Hofherr). In SF, she naturally gravitated towards tech and the emergence of apps like Instagram and Vine made her very curious about branded content. A friend at Twitter encouraged her to interview for a position on a new team they acquired, called Niche, that did influencer marketing. She got hired and fell in love with the creator world. Brooks spent 7 years at Twitter, working in SF, NY and Austin while creating award-winning content with some of the internet’s most beloved creators. She's worked on Vine (RIP), Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, Musically (before it was TikTok), TikTok and, of course, Twitter. With the assistance of a billionaire we will *not* name, Brooks moved back to the agency world, joining Edelman as their EVP of Influencer Marketing.
