Alison brings more than 25 years of experience across the food, beverage, commodity, ingredient, agribusiness and restaurant/QSR sectors. Alison is a unique hybrid with an earned lens first and foremost, but with scientific creds having become a registered dietitian later in her career. Alison has spent her career in Chicago and has a deep love for the community and industry that make the city so endearing. In her time at Edelman, she’s operationalized the firm’s Food & Beverage offering while launching Edelman’s first test kitchen in Chicago. Alison brings an encyclopedia-like brain for all things food and beverage from soil health, crop science, animal and land stewardship to how foods and beverages end up on our plates. Alison is a media contributor on culinary topics and contemporizing mainstay food and beverage brands. She also dabbles in hot nutrition topics like biodynamics, adaptogens and mitigating UPF perceptions while also teaching nutrition in her spare time. She has served on industry judging panels including the PRWeek Awards and the Holmes Report SABRE Awards; she sits on the board of the Executive Club of Chicago, is a member of the Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network and proud partner of World Business Chicago’s venture unit focused on F&B innovation. She has also authored white papers, penned op-eds and routinely speaks on breakthrough food and beverage marketing.
